Mariana Smith, flute, is currently Principal Flutist of the Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra. Also a pianist and organist, she studied music in California, Britain, and Germany, holds degrees from Stuttgart University and the University of California, and has performed throughout California and Europe. Mariana had organized over 70 concerts as Music Director for both the Ventura and Santa Paula Concert Series, and was Professor of Music at Ventura College for over 20 years before her recent retirement.
