The SBMC Board encourages all members to participate in the organization through volunteering. We also welcome high school students in need of Community Service hours.
Volunteering supports our primary missions of bringing beautiful classical music to the Santa Barbara community and supporting local music students through our scholarship program.
Here are just a few possibilities:
- Publicity Assistant
- Concert Support (ushering, helping to set up or clean up, or serving as a stagehand)
- Concert/Event Photography
- Coordinator for Outreach Concerts
- Scholarship Audition support
- Grant Writing
- Organize the Holiday Reception and other Social Events for the membership
- Volunteer Coordinator
- Board Membership
There’s something for everyone, whether it’s setting aside a few hours on a
Saturday afternoon for concert support, working for several weeks on a specific event or project, or working throughout the season on a longer term project.
